Australian Competition Tribunal cites CEG's expert evidence

The Australian Competition Tribunal has rejected Telstra’s appeal relating to an Australian Competition & Consumer Commission decision to maintain Optus’ rights to regulated access services in areas where Optus’ HFC network is present. The ACT cited CEG’s expert evidence in its reasoning for the decision. CEG economists Jason Ockerby, Paul Muysert and Paul Reynolds prepared the expert report assessing the state of competition in relevant broadband, voice and pay TV markets and the likely effects had an exemption been granted.
